I’ve called Destin, Florida home since 2017, when my husband’s Air Force assignment landed us on the Emerald Coast and we promptly decided we never want to leave. What started as a military move became the place I’ve put down real roots, built real friendships, created a meaningful business, and most importantly, started our family.
I’m a brand photographer and the founder and editor of Destin Snapshots, a lifestyle and travel media site covering the best of Destin and 30A. My work lives at the intersection of photography and storytelling, whether that’s a feature on a local business, a travel guide for first-time visitors, or brand content for a coastal company with a story worth telling.
I’ve been serious about photography since 2012, when I started a lifestyle blog and taught myself to shoot in manual because I wanted to create “Pinterest-worthy” images. That curiosity turned into a career, and that career turned into building something I’m genuinely proud of.

I’m a Destin photographer who loves working with local restaurants and businesses to give them a library of high-quality, on-brand imagery to be used for marketing.
I also spend a lot of my time with vacationing families who are looking to capture some of their sweetest moments at the beach.

I’ve been taking photos since I was a kid with a disposable camera in the ’90s, but it took a while for me to realize photography would be the perfect career. I got serious about it when I started a lifestyle blog in 2012 because I wanted to create “Pinterest-worthy” images of outfits, recipes and travel content. I learned how to shoot in manual to get that beautiful blurry background and light, airy look I saw all over Instagram. After years of pursuing that avenue, I decided to use my skills to help other people and businesses. This is when Jamie Kamber Photography was born!
Now I spend my time shooting Destin locals and vacationers by our beautiful beaches. Capturing those fleeting moments gives me so much joy. And as much as I love getting to know all of these wonderful families (and making some lifelong friends!), food photography will always have a special place in my heart. I am passionate about capturing menu items and the overall atmosphere of restaurants. This is why you’ll find a lot of food content on my blog! I have a light, airy editing style and try to keep the beach and skin tones as true to color as possible. Plus I’ll edit out any beachgoers or pesky seagulls.
