When it’s super hot outside (like it has been here in Vegas) I crave ice cream, but since that’s not the healthiest idea, I’ve discovered the homemade acai bowl. What makes these really easy to make at home is the fact that they are very customizable depending on what ingredients you have. For the base, I use these frozen Sambazon packets that I found at Costco. Then I mix in half of a banana and 1/4 cup almond milk. You can also add some fruit to make it more like a thick smoothie or chia seeds to add an extra punch of nutrients. Next up is the topping! For this bowl I used sliced bananas, strawberries, blueberries and granola, but pretty much any fruit/granola topping will work! This healthy bowl of deliciousness isn’t a science, so just play around with the ingredients you enjoy. It has become my go-to summer snack when I’m home on the weekends.

Acai Bowl
Ingredients
- 1 Sambazon Acai Berry Superfruit Pack
- 1/2 banana
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- Desired toppings: strawberries, banana, blueberries, kiwi, granola, shredded coconut, etc.
Instructions
-
In a blender, mix the acai packet, banana and almond milk until smooth. Pour into a cereal-sized bowl and add desired toppings. Serve and enjoy :)
P.S. You can find these colorful latte bowls at Anthropologie
This looks both delicious and healthy!

I loveeee a good acai bowl! So delish! My friend Jen introduced them to me about 5 years ago and I can’t get enough!!! Chicago is just catching onto the trend too, so that works in my favor for days when I don’t want to make them myself!

Nice! We have quite a few stores here in Vegas, so I’m always tempted to swing by when I’m out and about!
Ooh yum! I love acai bowls. My husband and I make acai bowls or acai smoothies at least 5 days a week. I wish I were exaggerating! Sambazon for smoothies and Acai Roots for bowls. Love!

Acai bowls are SO good! I love how easy they are to make at home (but have yet to actually make one myself…oops). Regardless, they always look so pretty at juice shops AND when you DIY :)
