This week’s Boutique of the Week is the sweetest one yet! Although this series normally features my favorite fashion finds, this week I wanted to highlight some tasty treats in honor of Halloween. B Sweet Candy Boutique inside The Market at Tivoli Village is the perfect place to do some trick-or-treating. Well, mainly just treating. No need to go door to door when you have this vast selection of goodies!
Arlene, the owner of B Sweet Candy Boutique, is just as sweet as the candy itself. She and her husband decided to open this cute shop because of their love for all things candy, plus they didn’t see anything like it outside of the Las Vegas Strip. Everyone from kids to sugar-loving adults will love this cheerful store.
With everything from caramel apples to fun-sized candy bars, fall is all about indulging in sweets. At B Sweet Boutique, candy corn and honeycomb (a delightful puffed up caramel smothered in dark or light chocolate) have been two of their most popular treats. Also, if you’re shopping for any loved ones with fall birthdays, they have a variety of perfect presents including chocolate shoes and iPhones.
One of the most unique treats they sell is the fresh-spun cotton candy, which is made daily. This fluffy, sugary goodness isn’t just for fairs or carnivals—their traveling cotton candy cart has been spinning this delicious treat at a variety of locations and events in Las Vegas, including Downtown Container Park, Nordstrom at Fashion Show Mall and several grand openings throughout the valley. They have also created mini cotton candies that are sprinkled with edible glitter to give as party favors, so not only do they taste delicious, but they look magical as well. There’s nothing like fresh cotton candy to make a party even sweeter!
In addition to selling sweet treats, this cute candy boutique also specializes in creating candy buffets or sweet stations for weddings, birthdays and every event in between.
They can create a festive candy buffet to seamlessly match any event or party. Whether it’s classy, contemporary or shabby-chic, they will make it look elegant and not childish (unless you request childish). These candy buffets are made only with the best brands of candy, such as Haribo and Jelly Belly, so the buffet will look amazing and taste delicious! I love the pastel pink display above, which would be beautiful for a wedding, baby shower or Valentine’s Day party.
Candy buffets aren’t only about the candy. When it comes to creating an aesthetically pleasing presentation, the holders and displays are just as important. Arlene and her husband create their own holders, such as their cotton candy pillars that beautifully display the mini cotton candies. Complementing the candy displays with flowers or wooden signs makes for a complete, well-balanced look.
If you’re looking to create your own candy buffet for an upcoming Halloween party, Arlene suggests keeping the ghoulish to a minimum and keeping it classy with a lot of whimsy and fun. She created a festive feature for her sweet station by making eyeballs out of floating candles and putting them in a tall vase filled with water that was dyed black. You could also create decor with actual candy, such as a candy corn wreath. Use a hot glue gun to completely cover a large, foam ring with candy corn, then tie a ribbon around it and hang to create a festive environment.
I hope everyone has a sweet and safe Halloween! :)
