Bahamas & Grand Cayman Travel Diary

Of all of the stops on our cruise I think the Bahamas would have been my favorite if the weather had cooperated. It was pretty gray and windy, but the water was still light blue and gorgeous. Norwegian has their own island called Grand Stirrup Cay, so it was nice to get a little break from locals trying to sell you souvenirs everywhere you walk. Rob and I just posted up on some lounge chairs and would take turns going up to get drinks and barbecue, which were complimentary. I was excited to wear the strappy swimsuit I bought from Target and since it wasn’t very sunny I figured it would be a good time since tan lines would be minimal. As a coverup I wore some high-waisted denim shorts and this fringe-striped tee from Old Navy.

We also stopped at Grand Cayman. Since we didn’t have an excursion planned that day we walked around the town/tourist shops and then took a shuttle to the famous Seven Mile Beach. It was a little cloudy to sunbathe (although still warm and humid enough to sport this Triangl swimsuit!), so we decided to stroll along the shoreline. I loved seeing the colorful hotels that lined the beach and stopped to take a lot of pictures. We ended up walking about 3 miles all of the way back to the cruise ships. It was a tiring, yet memorable adventure!
