Beach Day Necessities in Destin, FL

We have officially been living in Destin for one week and so far I am LOVING it! Rob and I have already had a few beach days, tried a lot of local seafood and scouted out the best happy hours. Having lived in busy cities like Seattle and Las Vegas, I really enjoy the laid-back beach vibe here. Everyone is so friendly and we have been able to walk or ride bikes to most places. I can’t even tell you the last time I rode a bike, but luckily “it’s just like riding a bike.” We rode them to the beach on our first day here and I was in awe of the water. It’s so clear, shallow and the perfect temperature! The fine, white sand is also beautiful—I could lay down a towel and relax there all day long. This round towel from Vera Bradley will be getting a lot of use! It’s really soft and the perfect thickness. Right now it’s on sale and also comes in a pretty coral color. Another beach day necessity is a cute swimsuit. This one-piece is from Albion Fit and I love that it can easily transition from the beach to a restaurant. Just toss on some denim shorts and you have a complete outfit! Plus how cute is the lace-up back?! It’s been really relaxing and fun to explore our new home. I’m sure the vacation feeling will fade when we move into our house and Rob goes back to work, but for now it’s been even better than I’d imagined.
