Best Brunch and Breakfast Restaurants in Destin

There’s no better way to fuel up for a day at the beach than with a delicious breakfast! There are numerous breakfast restaurants in Destin, Florida that are always bustling during the summer months. Whether you’re looking for amazing pancakes, fancy toast, healthy acai bowls or Southern-inspired dishes, here are some of my favorite breakfast and brunch spots in Destin:

If you have a sweet tooth you’ll definitely want to give this breakfast and lunch spot a try. They have a great selection of pancakes, crepes and other breakfast specialities. They also have lots of savory dishes to choose from. I really liked the Crab Island omelette, which includes crab cake crumbles and is topped with hollandaise sauce. Their Atomic Bomblette is also a best seller. It’s made with hot sausage, jalapeños, green and red peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese. And did I mention they have breakfast cocktails and boozy coffee? The atsmosphere is very casual and family-friendly.

This locally owned all day cafe offers delicious drinks, tasty bites and a welcoming atmosphere. The stylish space boasts plenty of indoor and outdoor seating making it a great spot to dine with the whole family (kids and dogs included!). Some standout breakfast items include the breakfast bowl, breakfast sandwich, and burrata toast—although you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. They also have some of my favorite coffee in Destin. The coco for mocha or sunbum cold brew are my go-to drinks.

Originally from New Orleans, Ruby Slipper offers a vibrant menu and atmosphere. Enjoy unique cocktails (like a mimosa flight) and made-from-scratch specialties daily from 7am to 2:30pm. I’d recommend sharing some starters: seasonal beignets, French toast bites and candied bacon. As for their specialties, their Trifecta is a great way to try a few bennies (The Eggs Cochon is my favorite!). If you prefer something super sweet, you can’t go wrong with the White Chocolate Bread Pudding Pancakes.

Located on Scenic 98 just across from the beach, this sidewalk cafe is the perfect spot to enjoy a casual breakfast or pick up your meal and have a picnic on the sand. Their breakfast tacos are really good and I also couldn’t resist the cinnamon roll! The menu also features toasts, yogurt parfait, fresh pastries, juices, smoothies, coffee and more. Breakfast is served from 7am – 11am.

If you want a healthy, on-the-go breakfast this superfood bar is a tasty option! They have a great selection of smoothies, juices, toasts and acai bowls. “Be Lean” is one of my favorite smoothies and “The Shorty” is one of my favorite bowls (it’s topped with housemade coconut whipped cream!). They’ve also added coffee and other food items to the menu.

This cute cafe in Miramar Beach is one of my go-to spots for breakfast and brunch! The trendy rustic-chic decor is right up my alley! There aren’t too many restaurants like that around here—most are beachy or more geared toward tourists, so this is a great addition.

Mama Clemenza’s European Breakfast. Everything is so flavorful and unique. We tried the espresso biscuits, eggs Benedict (made with prosciutto and Yorkshire pudding muffin) and Chicken Cinnabon (fried chicken over a homemade cinnamon roll topped with sausage gravy and pepper bacon jalapeño glaze.

The Local Market. This casual eatery has a community-focused feel with large picnic tables for dining, items to grab-and-go, and delicious breakfast and lunch dishes. With everything from breakfast tacos and avocado toast to a honey butter chicken biscuit and homemade glazed donuts, you’ll want to stop in multiple times on your trip to try them all!

Crackings. Whether you’re looking for classic breakfast dishes or something a little more unique, this restaurant has something for everyone in your group. I loved their Famous Lobster Gouda Grits, which are

The Donut Hole. This homey diner-style spot serves breakfast all day, baked donuts, key lime pie & hearty comfort food. There is always a line out the door during the summer months, so make sure to get there early! Or wait until later in the day.
