Rompers have been everywhere this summer and are a prevalent trend for fall, too. This black Topshop romper with scallop lace trim caught my eye because of its delicate detail and versatility. The stretchy, knit fabric makes it so comfortable and the solid black color allows it to go with pretty much anything (denim jacket, floral blazer, army green utility vest, etc.). Plus it can be worn for a variety of occasions, both during the day and at night.
For a daytime ensemble, I dressed the romper down with a cropped denim jacket, which is one of my closet must-haves. It’s perfect for layering in the summer when you go from 100 degrees outside to a chilly air-conditioned building. The fringe purse and gladiator sandals also keep the romper appropriate for an afternoon outing by creating a casual, boho vibe.
To transition into night, I changed out my simple studs for some statement earrings from BaubleBar. I replaced the fringe purse with a sleek Michael Kors cross-body bag and removed the denim jacket. The strappy shoes add a dressy touch and make it more evening appropriate. I wore this look when Rob and I went to see Matt Goss perform at Caesars Palace. We had free tickets from my work and were seated in the front row! He puts on a great show. My only disappointment was that my one glass of house wine was $14. I could have had like 4 bottles from Trader Joe’s for that price (insert sobbing emoji)! But that’s Vegas for you.
