This past week Rob and I took a road trip from Las Vegas to Seattle and back for our wedding (more photos from the big day coming soon)! Our first stop was Boise, Idaho, which we were looking forward to since we had an amazing dinner at Bardenay, a local restaurant and distillery, last time we were in town. I got the sweet potato and black bean chimichanga topped with mango salsa, which was just as delicious as I remembered! When I’m traveling, I try to order food that you can’t find anywhere else and this dish seemed really unique. They also distill their own alcohol, so I ordered a huckleberry lemon drop with housemade lemon vodka. After dinner we walked around town and then went to Sockeye for a flight of beer. Rob and I both enjoyed being in a “normal” city where you could eat outside since it’s a perfect 75 degrees, you weren’t surrounded by gimmicky hotels and there weren’t a bunch of drunk tourists.
Congrats on your wedding! My husband and I live in Boise (he’s also a flyer in the AF). I wish we had seen you guys out! This city is perfect, glad you stopped by!
No way! That’s awesome! And thank you :) we loved it and wish we had more time there. I’ll definitely come to you for suggestions on where to go next time we are there!
I’m hungry now….Congratulations again on your big day. Can’t wait to see more pictures.
Thanks, Yvonne! There will definitely be lots of pictures soon :)
