I like following local stores on Instagram, like our Free People Las Vegas because you can see where they take fashion photos around town. One image that especially caught my eye was taken at Cactus Joe’s, which has a huge selection of plants, pots and backyard decor. It sounded really cool, so I dragged my skeptical husband there and even he thought it was pretty fun to see all of the cactus and go through the little rock maze that he loved as a kid. There was one cactus (pictured above) that was 280 years old! It was massive. I ended up purchasing a smaller sized one that was currently blooming with pretty pink flowers. Hopefully I can keep it alive longer than my herb garden or succulents.
For an afternoon of exploring I wore this lace off-the-shoulder shirt, which I found at H&M. It instantly reminded me of the Cupcakes and Cashmere version, but for much cheaper ($9.99 vs. $105)! I paired it with distressed boyfriend shorts and lace-up sandals for a relaxed look.
