My Favorite Christmas Cookie Recipes

I know it’s a little late to be posting this, but I wanted to create a post with my favorite Christmas cookie recipes so that I can reference it for years to come (hopefully it will help you, too!). There are several cookies that my mom makes every year, such as peanut butter balls, snowballs and chocolate dipped shortbread cookies. I like to continue her tradition, but I’ve also tried some new recipes over the years that I’ve added to my list of holiday baking. These Christmas cookie recipes are great for gifting to friends and neighbors. Target always has cute tins that are perfect for creating a festive present!

My Favorite Christmas Cookie Recipes:

Chocolate Dipped Shortbread Cookies. These festive shortbread cookies and pretty and delicious! Just use your favorite cookie cutters, dip in chocolate and add some crushed candy canes or seasonal sprinkles.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls. A must! These are essentially Buckeyes, but fully coated in chocolate. (If you have leftover melted chocolate you can dip spoons and use them for hot chocolate!)

Snowball Cookies. This simple cookie is always a crowd pleaser. They are typically made with nuts, but I prefer them without. You can also use vanilla or almond extract.

Peppermint Mocha Cookies. This recipe is from Sally’s Baking Addiction. Her blog is my go-to when I want to try something new. Everything always turns out well and these were no exception!

Seriously Soft Molasses Cookies. This is another Sally’s Baking Addiction recipe. With a soft, chewy texture and the perfect blend of spices, they were a hit with friends and neighbors.
