I hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend! We didn’t do much yesterday, but on Sunday we went out on a boat with some friends to Crab Island. It’s an area right outside of the harbor in Destin where boats congregate because the water is only 2 – 3 feet deep. The weather was perfect and we saw a gorgeous sunset on our ride back to the dock. We also saw a big turtle and dolphins swimming in the water! After living in the desert for four years it’s nice to be by the ocean again! This past month has felt like an extended vacation since we just moved here and were staying with friends. However now we are moved into our own house and getting back into a routine. I’m really excited to start working out regularly again, cooking healthy meals in my own kitchen and being able to focus on the blog and my social media company. I still need to set up and organize my office space, but I’ll spending a lot of hours on my laptop this week! Even though I work from home, I try to get dressed every morning and look somewhat professional, especially if I go somewhere where I might meet potential clients. There are definitely days when I don’t get out of my lounging clothes, but when I feel put together I’m much more productive and energized. My go-to look is a cami and classic cardigan paired with jeans or shorts. This cardigan from Banana Republic is perfect for fall because it’s lightweight and super soft. It’s very versatile and a great way to make your summer dresses work appropriate. Plus it can be dressed down with distressed denim for the weekends! If navy isn’t your color, there are six other gorgeous shades like mint or heather grey. It will definitely be a staple in my closet.

Classic cardigans like this never gets old. I have two in my closet I think, and I’m really excited to wear them this fall.
