How To Elevate Jeans and a T-shirt

The classic jeans and T-shirt combo doesn’t have to be boring. With the right styling and accessories it can look very chic. One simple trick is to wear a belt and partially tuck in your top. This basic v-neck is part of the A New Day line from Target (you can see more of my favorite items in this post). It’s really soft and great quality for only costing $13! The fit is somewhat slouchy, so to create a more polished look I went with an easy front tuck. This adds more interest to the outfit and shows off a cute belt. I got this cognac-colored belt from Madewell and I wear it way more often than I thought I would! The classic style goes with everything and creates a more put-together look. I’ve worn it with distressed denim, white high-rise jeans, a denim skirt and now black jeans. This pair from STS Blue is really comfortable and stretchy. Black skinny jeans are a closet staple since they match everything and work with a variety of shoes, including OTK boots and heels. For this look I paired them with leopard flats to add a pop of pattern. To finish off the outfit I added a versatile necklace, everyday handbag and a rose gold watch. When it comes to styling jeans and a t-shirt, it’s all in the details!
