Although photography has always been a part of my life, I started photographing families in 2020 (you can read more about how I became a Destin photographer here). The Haile family was one of my first clients that summer and I’ve had the honor of capturing them for five years in a row now. Having the opportunity to shoot families year after year is the ultimate compliment! It’s so special to watch the kids grow up and capture various seasons of life. This year there was a new addition to the family! It was really cool to see their son be a big brother and get to photograph their evolving family dynamic.
I especially enjoy photographing babies. As a mom of two, I know how quickly that phase goes by and you just want to bottle up the cuteness. Photography lets us freeze time and capture their tiny toes, leg rolls, and gummy smiles. Is there anything better?! Here are some more photos we took at their sunset session in front of Destin Gulfgate (it’s a great place to stay, especially with little kids because they have a pool with a lagoon entry and slide).
