I was never much of a traveler until I met my husband. I was perfectly happy staying home in my Seattle bubble and hated to fly. Ironically my husband is a pilot in the Air Force and has traveled all over the world. I’m glad he pushed me outside of my comfort zone because now I’m much more comfortable on airplanes and love exploring new places! We’ve been to a lot of fun cities in the US, taken a ton of road trips and also went on a Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon (you can see all of my travel posts here). Europe is next on my travel bucket list, but I’ll admit flying over water for that long still freaks me out. I know it will be so worth it though!
The holiday season is the perfect time to stock up on travel items and they also make great gifts! Below are a few items I own or would love to see under my Christmas tree! This silk pillow case was a gift I received last year and I use it literally every day. It’s good for your hair and skin, plus I like to put it over hotel pillows when we travel. I also can’t live without my 6-foot phone charger. It’s so convenient, both at home and on vacation.
These Zella leggings were one of a few pairs I got last year for Christmas. They are so comfortable and hold up really well! I love the look of Lululemon, but mine would always end up pilling. These Zella leggings are great quality though and still look smooth a year (and many washes) later.
When it comes to packing for trips the most difficult part is toiletries. I hate transferring all of my products into smaller containers, so I love when I come across travel sized versions of the beauty products I use on a daily basis. The Kristin Ess line at Target is my go-to lately when it comes to hair products. My hair is really fine and thin, so her thickening spray helps it look fuller. It’s part of a gift set this season, so I will definitely purchase it for traveling! Plus it comes with the texture spray that I also love.
