I felt like such an old lady when trying on jeans the other day. I found a cute pair of skinnies, but the low-rise style was just so uncomfortable! That’s when I decided to give the high-rise style a try. My favorite denim shorts from this summer had the high waist, so it wasn’t too drastic of a change. This Topshop pair (named Jamie, which I thought was a good sign) fit like a glove and didn’t give me a “mom jeans” look. Plus the ripped knees add a casual, trendy touch. I’m excited to play around with these and figure out what tops work best. Obviously oversized sweaters and normal shirts worn over the waist will easily work, but I want to experiment with cropped tops and tucking shirts in, like I did with this tunic.

I absolutely love this look! Those jeans fit you perfectly. I personally love the high waisted or at least mid rise jeans because like you said they’re so comfortable, but they’re also figure-flattering I think! great look.
