Two Festive Cocktails for Holiday Parties

This post has been sponsored by Coca-Cola. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The holiday season is in full swing, and I am loving it! Our tree is decorated, stockings are hung and I’ve been listening to Christmas music nonstop. I waited until after Thanksgiving to put everything up since my husband is more traditional, but I have definitely been shopping the holiday section at Target since before Halloween. I get so excited to see the newest ornaments, wrapping paper, baking items, gift sets, etc. It can be hard to get into the holiday spirit since we live by the beach and it can be 80 degrees in November, but I love how this time of year is all about friends and family. We’ve already been to a couple Friendsgivings, and I’m excited for a few other holiday parties we have coming up. I always volunteer to bring desserts (obviously), but I also love putting together festive cocktails. Here are two recipes that your guests are sure to love and are easy to make!

Blood Orange Spritzer

First up is a Blood Orange Spritzer. It literally takes two ingredients (well, three if you count the garnish). All you need for this drink is white wine, DASANI Sparkling in the blood orange flavor, and real blood oranges for garnish. I found that a 1:1 ratio works well for this drink, so half wine (I prefer sauvignon blanc or pinot grigio) and half DASANI Sparkling. Stir those together and top with two or three blood orange slices. These are mainly just for looks because the DASANI Sparkling is naturally flavored and tastes great! Plus it’s unsweetened, so I feel less guilty about eating more Christmas cookies ;). The cans are also perfect to have on hand for people who prefer a non-alcoholic beverage. You can find them in the drink aisle at Target along with the other flavors such as Berry, White Peach , Raspberry Lemonade and more! Stop in Target this season to catch some special holiday savings on DASANI Sparkling and other Coca-Cola products!

Blood Orange Spritzer

This crisp, refreshing cocktail is perfect for a holiday party!

Course Drinks
Servings 1 drink

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cup DASANI Sparkling blood orange
  • 2 – 3 blood orange slices

Instructions

  1. Add wine and DASANI Sparkling blood orange to a glass and stir. Add blood orange slices and enjoy!

Bubbly Cranberry Cocktail

Next up is a cocktail made with whipped cream vodka, pink champagne and Sprite Cranberry. I love the pretty pink color, and it also tastes amazing—sweet, light and refreshing! Cranberry is a must for the holiday season, and Sprite Cranberry has the perfect flavor. While I was developing this recipe, I tried adding cranberry juice cocktail but it overpowered the vodka and champagne. However, the Sprite Cranberry adds a refreshing cranberry flavor that complements the sweet vodka and crisp champagne perfectly.

To fancy it up, you can make festive ice cubes. Fill an ice cube tray with cranberries and thyme, then top with water so that they are halfway full. Place in freezer. Once that layer is frozen, top with additional water so that they are completely full. Then, return to the freezer until ready to use. This two-part process is necessary because otherwise the cranberries and thyme will float and not be frozen inside of the ice cube.
