Happy Monday! If you’re headed back to an office today, don’t let the professional dress code stop you from having fun with fashion. When it comes to wearing spring trends to work, it’s all about being subtle and conservative. I’m loving the utilitarian trend and this skirt from Banana Republic is the perfect way to wear this style while on the job. The olive color, front flap pockets and streamline structure especially embody the utilitarian look while the sleek pencil skirt makes it office-appropriate. Since this military style is a little more masculine, I decided to create a fun juxtaposition by pairing it with a very feminine top. It doesn’t get more girly than blush, ruffles and lace, so this top was calling my name at Zara (you can also see how I styled it in this post). The high neckline will be HR-approved while the other fashionable elements still make it stylish. Blush and olive complement each other really nicely and it’s one of my favorite color combinations right now. Try mixing different colors into your work wardrobe rather than just sticking with black, grey or navy—it’s an easy way to avoid being boring. As for shoes, I love a low block heel. These ankle-strap sandals have quickly become my go-to pair because they are a classic style, neutral color and, best of all, comfortable! Hope you all have a wonderful week!
