Having put quite a few outfits together for the blog, I’ve noticed that there are a few pieces that are constantly in rotation. Building a wardrobe with great basics is necessary to create chic outfits without spending too much money. With versatile pieces, you’re able to mix in trendier items to easily get a fresh look. These are the pieces that I obviously can’t live without.

Topshop high-waisted skinny jeans. I was intimidated by the high rise style at first, but now I love them! They can be treated as any other pair of pants, but you can also play around with crop tops and tucking shirts into them. I wear these so much that I recently purchased them in white, too!

Madewell chambray shirt. I got this quality button-up years ago for Christmas and it has been a staple in my closet. It can be dressed up or down, plus it’s perfect for tying around my waist in the summer or layering under sweaters and jackets in the winter.

Topshop Saddle Bag. I was on the hunt for a knockoff version of the Chloé ‘Drew’ crossbody bag for the longest time, until I finally found this beauty. It has a similar chain strap style and I also love the tassel on the front! The neutral colors go with everything and it has such a classic look. (Similar style in linked since my exact one is no longer available)
