It’s hard to believe, but just 30 minutes outside of Las Vegas there is a mountain with a ski and snowboard resort called Mt. Charleston. There isn’t any snow on it yet, but we like going up there in the summer and fall to get a change of scenery and experience the cooler temperatures. Last weekend we drove up there to have lunch at Mount Charleston Lodge while my parents were visiting. The restaurant was surprisingly busy and had such a cozy atmosphere! Plus the view from the deck was beautiful! I love seeing pine trees instead of palm trees and desert. We enjoyed a delicious meal, complete with an AMAZING soft pretzel and hot apple cider with butterscotch schnapps. Since the weather was pretty chilly, I was able to wear one of my favorite sweaters. I’ve had it for years, but still love the olive color and lace trim. Plus I figured a trip to the woods called for my JORD wood watch. The champagne-colored face is so pretty and the watch is nice and lightweight. My husband is a big watch fan (it’s the only thing he ever splurges on) and he thought it was pretty sharp, so I think I’ll check out the men’s watch selection for Christmas present ideas. There are also other women’s watches that I’m eyeing, like the golden wood with a rose gold face. I’m a sucker for anything rose gold!
