In Las Vegas, farmers markets are most popular around the spring and fall (since summers are way too hot!). I’ve been able to explore a few since moving here and enjoy finding local produce. I haven’t exactly found my replacement for Pike Place Market, but these are some good options while living here in the desert.
Las Vegas Farmers Market
First and third Saturday of the month, 10am – 2pm
Located in Floyd Lamb Park at Tulle Springs, this festival-style market has a variety of fresh produce in addition to locally made products.
The Farmers Market at The District
Thursdays, 4pm – 8pm
I was really impressed by the selection of fresh produce! They had some unique items, including edible flowers which I used to decorate these grapefruit-glazed doughnuts. Plus they are all from local farmers.
Fresh52
Saturdays, 9am – 2pm
This open-air market at Tivoli Village is really fun to explore. They sell items such as freshly baked goods, organic produce, salsas, spices, nuts, crafts and much more. Plus you can do some great shopping at the nearby stores or have brunch at the delicious restaurants.
Downtown Summerlin Farmers Market
Saturdays, 9am – 2pm
This farmers market offers organic, sustainably grown produce from California and Nevada family farms. There wasn’t a huge selection last time I went, but they did have a lot of booths with prepared food, crafts and other items to purchase.
Downtown3rd Farmers Market
Fridays, 9am – 3pm
I haven’t had the chance to go to this one since I always work during those hours, but DTLV is such a fun area and I’ve heard great reviews. This indoor market sells fresh fruit and vegetables from local farms in addition to prepared foods.
Gilcrease Orchard
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, 7am – Noon
Although it’s not technically a farmers market, they have a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables that you pick yourself. They also have some items ready to go by the register. Fall is my favorite time of year here because they serve apple cider doughnuts and fresh apple cider, which are both amazing! We also love their tomatoes in the summer to make caprese salad.
