Wedding season is upon us and this summer I get to be the maid of honor in my best friend’s wedding! Matron of honor, technically, but I hate how that sounds. It makes me seem old haha. Whenever you accept the honor of being in the bridal party, you know you’ll have to purchase a dress and shoes that you might not necessarily like. No matter how much you love the bride, everyone has different styles. However, I LOVE the low heels that my friend picked out. They are the Steve Madden ‘Irenee’ ankle strap sandals and I had actually been eyeing them at Nordstrom even before she let us know. The block heel is the perfect height for everyday wear and the nude color will go with everything. For a spring-inspired look I paired them with white jeans and a striped blouse. You know I’m obsessed with ruffles, so I couldn’t pass up the cute sleeves on this top! Also the thin stripes (as seen in my Tuesday Trends post) are going to be really popular for spring and summer. The flirty, feminine top called for some statement earrings so I added this pair from BaubleBar, which I actually found at Nordstrom Rack for half price. A statement necklace would also look really cute with this top (not at the same time as the earnings, but you know what I mean). I have a feeling this outfit will be on repeat now that the temps are warming up!
