I love the look of midi skirts, but usually feel like they overwhelm my frame when I try them on. They should work on me since I’m pretty tall (5’ 7”) and have long legs, but they tend to make my hips look large or cut at a weird spot on my calves. I saw this burgundy windowpane piece at Banana Republic and loved it so much that I decided to give the midi another try. Luckily it fit perfectly and it didn’t flare out too much, so I scooped it up! Plus it was on sale, so that was a good sign :) I think it will be so fun to wear during the holiday season, especially to church on Christmas Eve or dressed up with some faux fur.

That’s such a pretty pattern and I love how you paired the burgundy with the chambray top. Midi skirts are great, but I have the same problem with them swallowing my petite frame (I’m 5’1″). This outfit looks great on you!
