Mountain Road Trip to Big Bear Lake, CA

I’ve been craving some crisp mountain air, so last weekend Rob and I took a quick road trip to Big Bear Lake. We stayed in a cute cabin at Noon Lodge at Mallard Bay, which was perfect for our little nature getaway. I started following the Noon collection on Instagram for interior design inspiration—their chic, modern furnishings are totally my style! When I saw that they had a boutique lakefront lodge not too far from Vegas (about 3.5 hours) that was opening this month, I couldn’t wait to visit! Our room was so cozy, plus there was an outdoor fireplace and a couple other fire pits. It was really chilly, but I loved sitting outside and seeing the stars so clearly. Plus, they also had fresh cookies and coffee in the lobby!

Rob and I have taken quite a few road trips while living in Vegas, so I have my comfy car outfit down pat. Since we were going somewhere cool I sported some stretchy skinny jeans, an oversized sweater and booties. We usually pack a carryon-sized rolling suitcase, but I found this pretty patterned tote from Old Navy that is perfect for a quick trip. Although, let’s be real, I took way more clothes than necessary for one night. Gotta take advantage of the wintery atmosphere for upcoming outfit photos! #BloggerProblems
