I have a slight obsession with non-fiction books. Admittedly, it sometimes has more to do with the cover than the content. There’s just something about a quality cookbook with beautiful photographs that I can’t get enough of! I also love collecting books that have personal ties, such as the Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream cookbook (one of my favorite places to stop when I visit my family back in Seattle) and the Theo Chocolate cookbook since my mom and I toured their factory in Seattle. Do you see a theme? I guess I like books that have to do with my hometown :) my best friend sent me the Trophy Cucakes book for my birthday and that one is really special since it is my FAVORITE cupcake place ever. Everyone in college knew what to give me for my birthday or a special occasion—their triple chocolate cupcake. Books are the perfect gift, because no matter what the person is interested in, you can find a book about it (home decor, college football, vegan cookbook, etc.). Even if they aren’t a reader, they will appreciate the personalized thought and there are a lot of pictures in non-fiction books to skim through ;) Obviously Amazon is a great place to find these non-fiction books, but I also like looking for books on sale at HomeGoods, Tuesday Mornings and the sale section of Anthropologie.
