The day we have all been waiting for is finally here… THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE! I’ve seriously been excitedly anticipating it since about mid-May. It’s my favorite shopping event of the year, especially since I love fall clothes (who can say no to cozy sweaters and booties?!). It’s the perfect time to stock up on basics while the new arrivals are discounted. Early Access begins today for Nordstrom cardholders, so you know I’ll be heading right to the mall after work! It’s also really easy to shop online since Nordstrom offers free shipping and returns (and great customer service!). Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Strategy & Shopping Tips:
It seems silly to need a “strategy” for a sale, but having an idea of what you’re looking for will make shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that much easier and rewarding. It can definitely be overwhelming with so many new styles at amazing prices, so these tips should help you narrow down your search:
- Take inventory of your closet and see what you need. Are the booties you bought a few years ago a little too scuffed up to wear anymore? Have your favorite skinny jeans gotten too much love? These are my issues currently, so I’ll be on the hunt for boots and denim. It’s the worst when your favorite skinny jeans start getting holes and rips, which some of mine are (insert sobbing emoji).
- Think about gifts. I know it’s only July, but the holidays will sneak up on you before ya know it! Now is a great time to purchase presents for friends and family since seasonal items like scarves and hats are on sale. Plus you can find accessories and home items that are perfect year-round.
- Stock up on basics and layering pieces. It’s so boring to buy a plain white long-sleeved tee or basic black leggings, but this is the perfect time to stock up on those necessities.
- Splurge on one or two items. Eyeing a designer handbag (like this Kate Spade satchel that is $133 off)? How about a beautiful piece of jewelry (I love this BaubleBar collar necklace)? Now is the time to purchase those big-ticket items since they are sometimes marked down by at least $100. To make sure it’s money well spent, keep in mind whether it’s versatile and neutral.
