To be comfortable, yet look put together on the weekends I love wearing fashionable leggings. Gone are the days when solid black was your only option. This season, leggings are adorned with unique details, such as leather panels or quilted textures, and come in a variety of pretty prints. One of my pet peeves is when people wear leggings with a top that doesnโt cover their derriรจre. Leggings are not pants! That being said, I was so happy to find the perfect high-low tunic to wear with them at the Nordstrom sale this summer. Itโs long enough in the back and the front, plus white goes with everything. Here is how I styled this go-to top with three different pairs of leggings and booties.
Look #1
Quilting is a popular trend this season. It can be seen on everything from leather skirts and purses to booties and dresses. I love that the texture can take this wardrobe staple from simple to chic. Complete the look with some cognac booties for a classic, equestrian-inspired ensemble.
Look #2
Looking fierce has never been so comfortable. These stretchy leggings are an easy way to add some โrawrโ to your outfit. To keep the leggings as the focal point, I paired them with some neutral booties that blend in with the color and topped off the look with a casual denim jacket. Leopard has to be worn right, otherwise it can look trashy. Keeping it conservative and minimal is key.
Look #3
This {faux} leather-on-leather look is fun for a night out because it’s sleek and sexy. The fashionable fabric can be found in a variety of colors this season, such as this burgundy-hued moto jacket. To add a fun pattern to the otherwise solid-colored outfit, I paired it with my favorite booties that have a tasteful touch of leopard.
Having some simple staples, such as this white tunic, is key to creating a well-rounded wardrobe. With a classic, go-to top, you are able to mix and match fun pieces to create a variety of trendy outfits. As these three outfits show, it’s all about versatility!
