Can you believe it will be February in a week?! So far this year is flying by even quicker than 2016. And unless you’ve been living under a rock or don’t go to Target on a weekly basis like I do, then here is your reminder that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! I love this time of year because everything is pink and covered in hearts. This Valentine’s Day snack mix recipe was actually inspired by these adorableΒ paper cups that I found in their seasonal aisle. I always keep an eye out for cute kitchen and baking accessories (basically anything pink, copper or marble) and more often than not, that’s where I get my recipe ideas from. Like with these Pink Champagne Cupcakes, I found the festive toppers first and nothing says party like some bubbly so that’s where I got the idea for that flavor. Now I just had to decide what to fill these treat cups with.Β For Christmas my kickboxing instructor filled treat bags with white trash mixΒ and it was so addicting that I finished it before I even got home. So basically I negated my entireΒ workout and then some. But since it was so good I decided to make a Valentine’s Day version

This Valentine’s Day snack mix isΒ really simple to make and it only calls for six ingredients. If you want to substituteΒ different kinds of cereal or change up the proportions, that’s fine too!Β This recipe can be tailored to your preferences, so have fun and play around with it! To get the Valentine’s Day colors I addedΒ red and pink peanut butter M&M’s, but feel free to switch those with your favorite flavor (these cherry milk chocolate M&M’s would probably be delicious, too!). Also, I used almond bark for this mix, but if you have white chocolate chips you could use those as well. The options are endless! Just one warning:Β you might become addicted! The salty and sweet mix is hard to resist.Β Below are the treat cups I used in addition to some other cute Valentine’s Day goodies! Enjoy :)
