The first time I visited San Francisco was in high school with my family. We saw all of the sites like the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf and Coit Tower, so this time I wanted to explore some new spots. Our first stop was Alamo Square where we saw the Painted Ladies and enjoyed the beautiful view of the city. I love the charm and character that San Francisco buildings have.
For lunch we went to Gott’s Roadside at the Ferry Building. After wolfing down our burgers and sweet potato fries, we explored the nearby marketplace. It was full of cute little shops, including bakeries and ice cream stores. We continued walking along the waterfront and then headed inland in search of Rogue Ales Public House. The map made it look like a short 15 minute walk, but we didn’t take into account the amount of stairs we had to climb! We walked from the waterfront up to Coit Tower, which was tiring, but had a gorgeous view! Let’s just say that beer was well deserved.
Rob has a friend that lives in San Francisco, so we met up with him for drinks at Rickhouse. I love getting suggestions from locals because this is a place I might not have noticed if I hadn’t known about it. They had delicious craft cocktails and a hip, dark atmosphere.
