I hope you all had a great Mother’s Day weekend! Sunday just felt like any other day to Rob and I since our moms live in Washington and Wyoming. Obviously we sent them a card and talked to them on the phone, but we weren’t able to celebrate by going out to brunch or anything. I did go to a baby shower, though, which was fitting since we were celebrating a new mom-to-be! We played a funny game where there were six diapers and a different chocolate bar melted in each one. It looked disgustingly real, but I guessed all of them correctly and won! I guess you could say I know my chocolate (no surprise there).
Now that Monday has rolled around once again I thought it would be fitting to share a workwear outfit for spring. Warmer temps can make it difficult to dress for the office, especially since it’s usually air-conditioned (and freezing!) inside. I usually opt for a shirtdress when I have to look professional because they are easy to style and can be layered with a cardigan or jacket if your workspace is chilly. I found this olive green shirtdress at H&M for only $14! Although online it’s listed as $34.99, so maybe check your local store to see if they have it marked down. The knee length makes it conservative, but the pockets and tied waist give it a trendy, utility style. To create a business casual look I paired it with simple ankle strap heels and a chic tote. And of course some coffee because it is Monday after all (if you’re in Vegas and need a caffeine fix, these are some of my favorite coffee shops). Hope you all have a wonderful week!
