Wear colors and patterns that complement each other without all dressing the exact same (such as khaki pants and white shirts). Destin commons
Destin Commons is an outdoor shopping center that also boasts restaurants, a movie theater, playground for kids, and numerous events throughout the year. When it comes to clothing stores, there are a lot of national brands such as H&M, Abercrombie, American Eagle, and Loft just to name a few. If you prefer to shop small businesses, you’ll also find boutiques and locally owned shops. These are a few of my favorites:
- Pink and Blue Avenue has the cutest clothes for kids! You’ll find popular brands such as Rylee + Cru, Beaufort Bonnet Company, Barefoot Dreams, Minnow, Native shoes, Bogg bags, Jellycat, and more. In addition to clothes and shoes, they also have a great selection of toys, baby necessities, and gifts.
- DressUp offers trendy and affordable women’s fashion and accessories, with new collections dropping 2-3 times per week, including an exclusive line of local tees, hats, and more! They have everything from casual shorts and tank tops to feminine dresses and pretty blouses.
- Lizard Thicket has a great selection of fashion-forward styles and accessories at affordable prices. Whether you’re looking for a flowy sundress, the perfect sandal, or a fun cover-up, they can help you find the perfect look for family photos.
kiki risa
Kikia Risa is a locally owned boutique in Destin that has stylish clothing, accessories and shoes. With high-end brands such as Zimmerman, Self-Portrait, Citizens of Humanity, Frame, Love Shack Fancy, and more, the items can be pricey, but they are chic and good quality.
Grand Boulevard
Grand Boulevard is an upscale shopping center with national brands, local boutiques, specialty shops and delicious dining. You’ll have the best luck shopping for family photo shoot outfits at these stores:
- For kids: The Beaufort Bonnet Company and La Luna Children’s Boutique (also has matching “mommy and me” outfits)
- Hemline South Walton is a cute boutique with trendy items and recognizable brands such as Agolde, ASTR, Free People, Show Me Your Mumu, and more. Many items are under $100, but they do have some pricier pieces, too.
- Ophelia, Billabong or Chubbies for a casual beach session with swimwear and coverups
- Kendra Scott for jewelry
- More national brands: Anthropologie, Altar’d State, Faherty, Peter Millar, Southern Tide, Vineyard Vines, johnnie-O
Silver sands premium outlets
With over 100 stores, Silver Sands Premium Outlets is a great spot to find outfits for the whole family. The designer and name-brand stores include Saks Off 5th, Michael Kors, Tory Burch, J. Crew, GAP, LOFT, American Eagle, and many more. If you’re looking for kids in particular, check out Carters, GAP Kids, Janie and Jack, or Old Navy. There are also several restaurants and a playground within the shopping center.
