I grew up in Seattle where coats are a must, but they aren’t quite as necessary here in Las Vegas (although the winds are insane as I’m writing this!). With so many cute patterns and statement styles this year, I couldn’t resist adding one more to my wardrobe. I bought this windowpane coat from Old Navy last week and already got some use out of it on our Big Bear trip (more pics to come this week!). This trend has made me rethink outerwear. A coat or jacket can be the stand-out piece of the outfit, not just something you throw on before heading out the door. Whether it’s a bold color, pretty pattern or faux fur, a statement-making coat is a must-have for winter. I love that they provide a chic, effortless way to stay warm. Just toss it over your coziest sweater, comfy leggings and cute booties! I might have to invest in another one before heading to Wyoming in December :)
