Last weekend Rob and I decided to stroll around Downtown Summerlin since it was one of the first 80-degree days we’ve had this year. We were debating about what kind of snack to get when we came across this delicious-looking gelato store called Gelato Messina. They were having a friends and family day to prepare for their grand opening, but the woman outside invited us in for complimentary scoops! Problem solved. We sampled quite a few flavors, but I ended up with So Wrong It’s Right (cream cheese and caramel gelato smashed with white chocolate potato chips and smothered in duck fat caramel) and Rob got Elvis The Fat Years (peanut butter gelato with fried brioche and banana jam). They were AMAZING. We also watched the chefs make gelato cakes, which were very impressive! I was amazed by the precision that goes into them.
Ok enough about the sweet treats. Time for some fashion! I was really excited to find this comfy, casual dress at Nordstrom. It’s so soft that it feels like you have on your favorite worn-in T-shirt. The color and style make it very versatile (if you’ve read my post about building your wardrobe you know I’m all about versatility!). Plus, I like that it has ruching to hide the ridiculous amount of gelato I ate. I paired it with this white, lace jacket because it adds some texture to the otherwise simple tank dress.
