Don’t let the palm trees fool you, it was actually REALLY cold shooting this outfit! I thought moving to the beach would mean saying goodbye to winter clothes, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised about how cool it gets here in Florida during the winter. Heavy layers clearly aren’t necessary, but it has been fun to wear boots, scarves and cozy sweaters again. This sweater dress from Banana Republic has been a great addition to my closet because it’s very versatile. It can be layered with tights and a coat when it’s freezing out or worn with bare legs and booties on not-so-winter-like days. One of my favorite ways to style this sweater dress is with over the knee boots. I got this pair a few years ago for Christmas when I wasn’t completely sold on this trend, but clearly it’s a style that is here to stay! If you aren’t sure if OTK boots are for you, this pair from Target is a great way to test them out. They’re only $40 and look very similar to the Stuart Weitzman boots which will set you back $800. To finish off the look I added a cozy blanket scarf and my everyday earrings. I think I’ll be wearing this sweater dress for years to come because it’s so warm and cozy, plus the ruffle cuffs add the perfect feminine touch!
