Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays to bake for because I love all of the pink, red and heart-shaped goodies! One of the easiest ways to make your treats look festive is by using cute decorations, like cupcake liners, sprinkles and cake toppers. CUPCAKES
Cookies are another classic treat for Valentine’s Day. For these heart-shaped cookies I used the sugar cookie and buttercream recipe from Jenny Cookies. In addition to her baking blog and book, she also owns a bakery close to my hometown in Washington. We went to visit last time I was home and her cookies taste as good as they look! The texture and taste are perfect, so I used the recipe on her blog to make this batch. Let’s just say it’s my new go-to sugar cookie recipe!
