Three Summer Dress Trends with Topshop 

I’m so excited to share that I am hosting an event with Topshop on Thursday! If you are here in Las Vegas I would love for you to come by! The private shopping event will highlight their summer dresses and there will also be treats, Champagne and a 15% discount! Topshop has an amazing selection of dresses right now whether you’re going to a wedding, lounging by the pool or just running everyday errands. These dresses might look familiar if you follow me on Instagram because I shared them during a dress haul in my stories! Let me know if you guys like seeing hauls and try-ons and if so I’ll do them more often :) Below are a few other dress trends that have stuck out to me this season, including ruffles, embroidery and statement sleeves.

Ruffles. Ruffles aren’t anything new, but they are a feminine detail that’s still going strong! I’m sure you’ve seen ruffle hems and sleeves all over Instagram (and my blog) this year. Even if you aren’t in to super girly trends, ruffles can be stylish and subtle. I like how the top and side on this dress are slightly ruffled, but not over-the-top frilly. The midi pencil skirt style is really chic and sophisticated—perfect to wear as a wedding guest! Plus the square neckline with thick straps is very unique and and flattering. To dress it up I styled it with ankle strap sandals and dangly rose gold earrings, which I actually wore for our wedding!

Statement Sleeves. This dress is a little louder and more colorful than what I normally wear, but I love the bright peach color with the red floral print. I didn’t even realize it had these fun sleeves until I tried it on! The slits kind of make me feel like I’m a super hero wearing a cape. I love how they flare out and show off a watch or bracelet. The dress is somewhat short so I like that the long sleeves balance out the bare legs.

 

Embroidery. I’ve seen embroidery on everything from bomber jackets to classic button-up shirts this spring. It’s a style that can be very feminine or kind of edgy and in this case it’s very girly. I love the colorful flowers that are on this peach dress. This flirty frock is perfect for throwing on with sandals or you could dress it up with heels for date night. It’s a light mesh fabric and comes with a slip so it’s not see-through. I also like that it’s knee-length and has a cute ruffle waist. It does fit a little boxy, so I went down a size (4 instead of my usual 6 in Topshop sizes).
