Go-To Travel Outfit

I’m slowly working on posts from our vacation, but blogging time has been limited since my full-time job has been busy, my sister visited this weekend and I’ve been unpacking/doing laundry/grocery shopping, etc. There are just so many fun photos to sort through and I want to make sure the posts are perfect! For now I’m sharing my go-to travel look. When it comes to traveling I’m all about wearing layers, especially when flying. Sometimes the plane can be hot or cold, plus a jacket can be a nice blanket while napping!

wifey-tshirt

First of all, stretchy pants are a must. I live in this Topshop pair—the high-rise, ripped knee ‘Jamie’ jeans. The higher waist is surprisingly comfortable and they are super soft. Comfy shoes are also important since airports usually require a lot of walking. I usually go with flat sandals or my white converse. Unfortunately my converse got too dirty after being caught in the rain while at the Mayaan ruins, so they weren’t up to par for photos haha.

wifey-tee

Next up: a casual T-shirt. I thought this wifey tee was appropriate since we were going on our honeymoon. I also wore it on our pre-honeymoon (we stopped in San Francisco and Napa while driving back from our Washington wedding last summer). I topped off the tee with a chambray shirt and also carried a light anorak jacket in my backpack. My other carry-on is this camera bag, which is perfect for stylishly (and conveniently) carrying my DSLR camera. Taking photos in new settings is one of my favorite things about traveling, plus experiencing new foods and cultures.
