I’m really excited about today’s post because I’m partnering with one of my favorite bloggers, Kendall from My Styled Life, to show you two ways to style a denim jacket for summer! Even though it’s 110 degrees in Las Vegas at the moment I still wear my denim jacket on a regular basis. Obviously I don’t need it outside, but since we just hop from one air-conditioned place to the next it comes in handy when we go out to dinner or to the mall. My go-to daytime look when it’s this toasty is a lightweight sundress and comfy sandals. You’ve seen me wear this lace-up pair numerous times on the blog now—with white jeans, denim shorts and a pink sundress just to name a few. They go with everything and are super comfortable! Doesn’t hurt that they are under $30 either. I paired them with this floral sundress recently and it was the perfect combination for running some weekend errands. The strappy design and cute cutouts make this dress really unique and it’s only $60! Of course I finished off the outfit with my denim jacket because all of the restaurants and stores are FREEZING compared to the outdoor temps (not complaining!). I’ve had this cropped one from Nordstrom for at least 7 years and it’s still a staple in my closet. The light wash is really versatile and the fit is somewhat slimming (I hate stiff, boxy jackets).
