Destin, Florida is the perfect place to host a bachelorette party! With a variety of activities, luxurious accommodations and the stunning coastline, there’s no better place to throw a beach bash with your girlfriends. Okay, maybe if you’re looking for Vegas-style shenanigans it’s not ideal for you, but for a more low-key bride the location offers plenty of ways to relax and celebrate. Here are a few things to do if you’re throwing a bachelorette party in Destin or on 30A:
Luxury Beach Picnic. Toast to the bride-to-be with mimosas or rosé on the sand! There are a number of companies that will set up luxury picnics complete with pillows, beautiful tablescapes, umbrellas, string lights, food, drinks and everything you need for a memorable meal outdoors. Beach Bonfire. If you’d rather gather around a fire with your toes in the sand and a s’more in hand, there are several companies that will set up beach bonfires for your bachelorette party. Enjoy the sunset and good company as you celebrate the bride. 30A Blaze, La Dolce Vita, and Light Me Up Beach Bonfires are a few that can help you plan, set up and take down your bonfire.
Charcuterie Workshop. Graze 30A offers private 90-minute workshops held in the comfort of your home. They will walk you through building your own cheese and charcuterie boards, teach you all of their favorite tips and tricks, and give you the confidence to create beautiful boards for future gatherings.
Crab Island. A trip to Destin, Florida isn’t complete without visiting Crab Island! If you aren’t familiar with the area, Crab Island isn’t actually an island – it’s a submerged sandbar where the water is shallow (1 – 4 feet usually) and you can anchor your boat for some fun in the sun! For a bachelorette party I recommend booking a private pontoon boat cruise with a captain (then no one needs to worry about getting a boaters license or being the DD). Crab Island Cruises is one of the local companies that offers this service. You can wade around in the water, play beer pong, do some day drinking and socialize with other boaters. Pro tip: visit at high tide for the crystal clear water!
Sunset Cruise. If you want to enjoy the stunning sunset from the water, book a boat ride! East Pass Sailing Company offers private charters where you can relax on the top deck, look for dolphins, and watch the sunset. Bring food and drinks for the ultimate experience! I’d suggest a charcuterie board and wine! Graze 30A can create a gorgeous (and delicious!) grazing board for your group.
Go for a bike ride along 30A. Rent some cruiser bikes and explore the beautiful beach towns along 30A. You’ll discover gorgeous architecture, amazing restaurants and the natural beauty of Northwest Florida. Cool down with a frozen cocktail from b.f.f. in Seaside, pick up a cute new outfit at Disco in Rosemary Beach and take in the stunning scenery and white homes/buildings in Alys Beach. Each coastal town has a unique vibe and they’re all connected by a 19-mile paved bike path.
Floating Tiki Bar. With Cruisin’ Tikis you can make your way to Crab Island for the afternoon or cruise the harbor and catch the sunset. Bring your own beverages and snacks to enjoy as you make memories with your girlfriends.
Dine in with catering and a mobile bar. With a large group it may be difficult to find restaurants that can accommodate you without a long wait or being split up and not many places take reservations. Instead, bring the food and drinks to your vacation rental! Catering companies such as 30Apron can create a custom menu and bring a delicious meal right to your door! You could also add a mobile bar to the fiesta, like the Tipsy Mule, which can create craft cocktails or teach a class if you’re interested in learning how to make them yourself!
Spa Day. Enjoy some pampering at The Spa at The Henderson. Unwind with a massage, facial, mani/pedi, a visit to the Himalayan Salt Suite and more serene services.
Yoga on the Beach. Start your day with a serene yoga class right on the sand. Beach Yoga 30A offers private classes and you can pick the time and beach that works best for you!
