Happy Friday! Hope you all had a great week. My husband and I have been in San Diego since he had a conference to attend for work and it’s been a great getaway! While he’s working I spend the morning blogging and then when he’s back in the early afternoon we are able to explore the city. The first time we visited San Diego was a few years ago for a wedding (you can see some of those photos in this old post), so it’s been fun to go back to our favorite spots and also find new ones. We have enjoyed walking around the various neighborhoods like Gaslamp, Little Italy and North Park where we have tried a few restaurants and breweries. I will definitely be adding to my list of treats in San Diego! They 70 degree weather has been perfect, although I hear it’s almost 80 at home in Vegas! The one thing I won’t take for granted anymore is the lack of humidity we have in the desert—my hair has been a frizzy, curly mess here.
Okay, now a little bit about the outfit. Obviously I love ruffles and anything girly. I came across this white ruffle blouse while putting together a post about the best ruffle blouses under $50. I seriously need to stop with these collages because I end up seeing too many things I want to buy while putting them together haha. I ordered the top online and was a little concerned about how it would look on, but I really like how nicely it lays. Sometimes voluminous ruffle tops can be unflattering, but I think this one is still somewhat slimming especially when paired with black skinnies to create a streamlined look. I accessorized the outfit with some designer dupes, like the Chanel-inspired shoes and purse, and a simple necklace that I’ve had for years.

Your block heels are just so darling! Love them!
The ruffles are so chic! I love how they add interest and detail without being in your face. Also, I totally relate on the whole making collages and ending up wanting everything you find, haha. Such a struggle!
