Firework Oreo Buttercream

The perfect cookies 'n' cream frosting for 4th of July treats! It's sweet, creamy and has a subtle sparkling sensation.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp. clear vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup crushed Firework Oreos

Instructions

  1. In the bowl of a standing mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter on medium speed until light and fluffy. 

  2. With the mixer on low speed, alternately add powdered sugar and heavy cream until combined. Add vanilla extract and salt, then mix on medium-high for 1 minute.

  3. Gently fold in the crushed Oreos until evenly distributed. Enjoy on cupcakes, cake, brownies, cookies, etc.
