Happy Monday! I’m so excited for a short week and to eat a delicious meal on Thursday! We are having a friendsgiving, so I’m making my go-to sweet potato casserole recipe and stuffing (my two favorite things on the Thanksgiving table!). Since it’s going to be very relaxing and low key I’ll probably wear something more casual than the dressy Thanksgiving outfit I shared on the blog a couple weeks ago. I’ll most likely be sporting this pretty pink sweater from Madewell (you can also find it at Nordstrom and Shopbop)! The dusty rose color is beautiful and the texture/fringe add a fun touch. It’s under $100 (sometimes less with holiday sales) and comes in ivory, too.
I styled this cozy sweater with distressed denim for a laidback look. Stretchy jeans or leggings are key when it comes to a casual Thanksgiving outfit! A tight, high-waisted pair sounds like the worst possible scenario. I want to be able to enjoy my food and still be comfortable! Unfortunately this exact pair, which I found at the Nordstrom sale this year, is sold out. However, the brand is called BLANKNYC and they have a pretty similar pair available right now that’s only $88. This is my favorite brand for denim because it’s affordable and high-quality. I own at least three pairs of their jeans and all of them are super soft and hold up well. I pretty much lived in my BLANKNYC denim shorts this summer!
Since it’s not exactly scarf weather here in Florida I accessorized this casual Thanksgiving outfit with an olive bandana and rose gold jewelry. This square bandana is also from Madewell (clearly I have an addiction!) and comes in a variety of colors. It’s a very versatile accessory and adds a lot to any look. I’ve even tied it onto my bags before! It will have to take the place of my blanket scarves this fall and winter seeing as the temps are still in the 70s right before Thanksgiving.
