Why You Need A Wrap Dress for Spring

There’s no turning back—spring and summer temps have arrived in full force! It’s going to be almost 90 degrees this weekend so I think it’s safe to pack away all of my fall and winter clothes. When it’s this warm I pretty much live in easy, breezy dresses. They create an effortless, yet put together look that is cool and comfortable. I have quite the collection of spaghetti strap sundresses and shift dresses, but this new polka dot piece from Francesca’s is the only wrap dress I own and now I don’t know how I lived without it! Okay maybe that’s a bit dramatic, but seriously it’s so flattering and versatile! I wore it earlier this week to a meeting over coffee and for running errands. It’s casual enough for everyday wear, but you can easily dress it up with wedges and statement earrings for date night.

Wrap dresses are universally flattering. The tied waist accentuates your waist and curves while the overlapping style creates the perfect V-shape neckline. I’m pretty conservative when it comes to clothing, so I like that this dress shows some skin without being too revealing. And you know I can’t pass up anything with ruffles! The feminine hem and neckline are right up my alley. Wrap dresses come in a variety of styles so there’s a style for everyone whether you are looking for something edgy, sophisticated or trendy. To create a beachy look I paired my wrap dress with simple sandals and rattan crossbody bag. Box and circle shaped purses are a huge trend for spring and summer. I’ve seen them everywhere and this one from Francesca’s is only $58! I love that their boutiques have trendy, yet affordable pieces.
