One of my favorite locations for family photos in Destin is the jetties. I had never shot here until my friend Leah suggested it for her family photos. She’s a local (and owns Camille’s Cafe & Restaurant) and wanted a setting that wasn’t “too beachy” for her Christmas cards. There are a variety of backgrounds to choose from at this location including the rocks, sand dunes and the water (both the Gulf and East Pass). A couple things to keep in mind about this location: it involves a lot of walking on the sand and the paid street parking is limited (especially in the peak spring and summer months). But it’s a gorgeous spot for family photos in Destin!
