Last weekend Rob and I went to a wedding in Connecticut and it was gorgeous! We had never been to this part of the country so it was fun to explore Saybrook, CT and Newport, Rhode Island. The ceremony and reception were both held at an inn right on the water with a beautiful marina and lighthouse. Luckily we didn’t have rain, but it was freezing with that ocean breeze! I ended up wearing a sweater over my dress during the ceremony since I forgot to bring a jacket or cardigan. This Endless Rose dress from Shopbop caught my eye a few weeks ago and I thought it would be perfect for the setting of this wedding! The light blue, navy and white look kind of nautical and the geometric lace makes it very modern. Endless Rose is one of my favorite brands from Shopbop because it’s girly, trendy and pretty affordable. Right now this dress is 30% so it’s under $90 (don’t you hate when things go on sale after you bought it for full price?!). For shoes I wore these low block heels, which come in a pretty nude color and have a simple ankle strap style. I bought them to wear with my bridesmaids dress for a wedding in July and I’ve already gotten a lot of use out of them since they and versatile and comfortable! Rob was a groomsmen, so he wore his mess dress since most of the wedding party was in the Air Force. I had never seen him all dressed up in this before and he looked so handsome! He just pinned on Major, too, so I was a very proud wife :) The bride wore a stunning lace dress and the champagne-colored bridesmaids dresses were beautiful, too. After the ceremony we had amazing appetizers and a delicious dinner (complete with chocolate cake pops!). We had a great time and I’m so glad it gave us an excuse to explore some new states!
