It officially feels like spring here in Florida! It’s been so nice to have beach days and go for runs outside, but I’m not looking forward to all of the tourists and hot, humid weather! So long hot teas and coffees. During the warmer months I like to keep a pitcher of cold brew coffee on hand and these Dunkin’ Donuts® Cold Brew Coffee Packs from Target make it so easy! Let’s be real, I’m at Target way too often anyways, so I just veer over to the coffee aisle after checking out the latest shoes, clothes and home decor. The cold brew is really simple to make—you just put 2 coffee packs into a pitcher, add 4 cups of cold water and let it steep in the fridge overnight (bonus: your fridge will smell amazing!). When it’s done steeping after about 8 – 12 hours, remove the packs and add 3 more cups of cold water. Easy as that! With a pitcher always on hand I can easily pour a refreshing glass whenever I need a pick-me-up. You can drink it as is, customize it with different creamers/syrups or use it to make affogato! I personally prefer the latter ;)

To make this salted caramel cold brew affogato, drizzle salted caramel sauce (I recommend the Smucker’s Simple Delight Salted Caramel) on the inside of a glass or bowl. I find it easiest to pour about a tablespoon into a piping bag and cut the tip because that gives me more control compared to spooning it in. Next, add a scoop of your favorite salted caramel ice cream (about 1/3 cup) and top with your now-ready Dunkin’ Donuts cold brew coffee (about 3/4 cup). This cold brew is smooth and rich so it complements the ice cream perfectly! Let it sit for about 5 minutes so that the ice cream softens and the flavors can mix. When you’re ready to dig in use a spoon to stir it up a bit and then enjoy! This would be a fun treat to serve at a party this summer. You could create an affogato bar where your guests can choose between a few ice cream flavors and sauces, then top with the prepared cold brew!
